This is a visa that is required for a Candidate who intends to visit Canada to meet family and friends for vacation. This is known as Temporary Resident Visa (“TRV”). The TRV is an official document that is affixed on the passport of the Candidate. It is granted to only those Candidates who meets the required guidelines for a Visitor to enter Canada.

TRV can either be applied online or by paper application. TRV holders can reside in Canada for up to six (6) months or until the validity of the passport. This visa may or may not be required for all Candidates since it solely depends on the nationality of the Candidate.

Eligibility Criteria

• Individual must possess a valid passport
• Prove the immigration officer that you have your family, assets, etc. that is an incentive to come back to your home country.
• Financially competent to sustain yourself in Canada and the amount depends on the duration of stay in Canada and if you will be staying with family, friends or any paid lodging.
• Prove the immigration officer that you will depart Canada when the visa is expired.
